Designed from the onset on a budget, the building consolidates the administrative operations of this terra cotta manufacturer located near Buffalo, NY. The office building has two levels housed under a “prefab” Butler structure chosen by the owner for cost effectiveness and to match the adjacent factory structures. The main feature of the building is the façade system, which is comprised of the Terra Clad rain screen panels developed in the factory.
The upper floor houses the administrative offices as well as a conference room while, on the lower level, the drafting department and an exhibition space can be found. With little exception, the floor plans are free of walls, with only free standing modular partitions, and as a result, despite its small footprint, the building feels spacious. |
