Our design goal was to provide students with an environment in which they could learn about their curriculums and how these relate to their future careers. On entering, the welcoming cylindrical shape helps focus a student's attention on the available resources including important information about colleges and universities.
The long corridor, in which the guidance offices are located, houses the "old safe" where students' tests results and special records are stored. The computerized learning center, with direct links to many colleges and universities, provides information about their future campuses.
The wood trim is an elegant and more formal statement, creating more of a college or university atmosphere. This space houses secretarial areas, principal area, and conference rooms and provides the necessary apace for interactions and communication between the guidance teacher and students.
